Soyabean oil is obtained from the beans of the plant Glycine max, which is grown in temperate regions of the USA, Brazil, Argentina and China. The raw oil contains variable amounts of impurities, which may be undesirable and are removed by refining. Refined soyabean oil is classed as a semi drying oil due to its medium level of unsaturated fatty acids. It has a variety of home care applications including furniture polishes and candles.
